The GIB mission is to inspire and accelerate a mainstream transition to sustainable and resilient infrastructure. We are a Swiss non-profit foundation. Since 2008, our interdisciplinary work on infrastructure projects leads to more inclusive, sustainable and resilient communities and ecosystems.

About us

Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) Foundation is based in Basel, Switzerland. GIB promotes sustainable and resilient infrastructure, including Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and youth engagement expertise on a global scale. Active since 2008, we work with multiple stakeholders ranging from city representatives to project developers and infrastructure financiers, among others. In addition, GIB frequently engages in partnerships/ consortia for EU and international proposals. We envision a world where sustainable and resilient infrastructure is the norm rather than an exception.
