A first in the world “Reverse MBA” programme enabling professionals to upskill themselves in technology.


The business leaders of tomorrow must demonstrate both technology and business acumen.

ETH Zürich has brought together the expertise of their world leading engineering programs to offer a unique MAS Programme. It specifically addresses the needs of professionals working for industry, government, and other technology focused organizations. It facilitates the understanding of the most impactful applied science and technologies shaping the sustainable society and the businesses of the future (e.g. “reverse MBA”). A previous technical degree is NOT required to attend the programme. The MAS AT programme provides a strong foundation in key areas of applied technology, while preparing professionals for roles of increasing responsibility in technology focused and innovation driven organizations:

CAS ETH in Applied Information Technology

  • Fundamental training in programming, machine learning, computer vision, and data science (blockchain and distributed ledger technologies)

CAS ETH in Applied Manufacturing Technology

  • Explore additive manufacturing and state of the art prototyping tools and methods; design for manufacturing and “green” design; materials forming, shaping and joining techniques.

CAS ETH in Applied Technology in R&D and Innovation

  • Evaluate technology-based innovation opportunities in an organization; innovation ecosystem (customer co-creation, university collaborations, strategic partnerships, or start-ups).

CAS ETH in Applied Technology in Energy

  • Understand electricity generation, distribution and consumption; fundamentals of power grids and the regulatory framework; energy storage; electrification technology and practical application in multiple industries.

CAS ETH in Applied Electronics and Digitization

  • Discover solid state electronic devices, electrical circuits and the industrial manufacture of semiconductor-based devices and integrated circuits (IC); semiconductor devices for power electronics and data processing; lifecycle of a full electronic system from the initial ideas through prototyping to development of a market ready system.
