How parking data contributes to sustainable mobility

The parking development from Ford to digitalization reflects urban changes. Public parking spaces once financed taxes and led to parking garages. Parking meters solved traffic problems, but modern solutions require efficient use of space and data integration.

The evolution of parking, from Ford's mass production to digital management, reflects urbanization's impact on space. Initially, public lots financed taxes, leading to parking garages and regulations. The first parking meter eased congestion, spreading globally. Modern challenges however demand efficient space use and data-driven solutions. Despite digital advancements like apps and sensors, data integration remains fragmented. Effective parking management requires aggregating and analyzing data to make sustainable data-based decisions.
