Carefree and sustainable: heating with district heating

Would you like to heat your home sustainably and reliably? Then connecting to one of our heating networks is a good option. You can check on our homepage whether your property is eligible - and what alternatives you have.

Connecting to a heating network offers many advantages. You no longer need your own heating system, everything is managed by Primeo Energie: Heat supply, maintenance, billing. This gives you more space in the building and eliminates exhaust and noise emissions. In addition, the heating costs are contractually fixed and can be calculated over the long term.

Primeo Energie monitors the systems around the clock. In the event of a fault, the 24-hour on-call service automatically springs into action - you as the customer do not have to do anything. The heat increasingly comes from renewable sources. Primeo Energie is gradually converting the heating networks to renewable energy sources. Gas and oil will then be a thing of the past. Instead, you can heat your home with environmental or waste heat and biomass.

For the new Birstal heating network, for example, we use waste wood and waste heat from uptownBasel. In Allschwil and Aesch, wood chips and heat pumps with geothermal probes are used. In Binningen, we use the Birsig river and the sewer as a heat source. In addition, the network is supplemented with two pellet furnaces - and these are just a few examples.

On our homepage, you can check whether and when you can connect to a district heating network. We also show you what alternatives you have. The maps will be gradually expanded. If your municipality is not included, simply check back in a few weeks.
